Football Federation Australia boss Ben Buckley has outlined a timetable to appoint a new coach of the Australia national team.
The FFA chief executive returned from Europe with the shortlist to succeed current Socceroos chief Graham Arnold.
Arnold is expected to remain in charge until after the Asian Cup, which is being held in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam in July, but Buckley has revealed there are three recruiting windows open to lure a coach.
"The first is at the end of the European season (May), the second at the end of the Euro 2008 qualifiers (November) and the third is after Euro 2008 (June)," Buckley revealed.
"We have spoken to a number of people in recent weeks and we'd like to have someone in place by the end of this year."
