Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold has hailed his side after they passed Brisbane Roar's record for the most home games undefeated with a 2-2 draw with Newcastle Jets at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Sky Blues made it 24 games unbeaten on home turf with the draw, overtaking the Roar's 23-game mark.
Unprovoked Arnold pointed immediately to the record, despite Sydney's seven-game winning streak coming to a halt.
"It was another hstory making night tonight going past Brisbane Roar with the most undefeated home games," Arnold told Fox Sports. "That goes on.
"You've got to give credit to Newcastle. They came with a gameplan to hit us on the break.

"We were sloppy with our defence with our two full-backs going at once.
"Once we got the boys in at half-time I thought there was only one team who'd win it in the second half."
The Sky Blues had to come from behind twice to claim the draw, with goals from Milos Ninkovic and Bobo.
"It's wonderful character to do that and come back," Arnold said.
Arnie | "Brosque was about 75 to 80%, I made the decision not to risk him, he's too valuable. If we played Saturday he'd have played." #SydneyIsSkyBlue #SYDvNEW

"In the second half we had the much better chances. Bobo could've easily had a hat-trick in the second half.
"I thought we dominated the game well. The character of the boys, when they go down 1-0, and you saw when we got back to 2-2, it wasn't about resting on our laurels, it was about trying to win the game 3-2."
Ladder leaders Sydney are next in action against Brisbane Roar on Monday.
