Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold has called on Football Federation Australia to rename the FFA Cup trophy the 'Les Murray Cup'.
Murray passed away on Monday at the age of 71 after a battle with illness.
The legendary broadcaster received an outpouring of tributes from casual football fans, to Socceroo star Tim Cahill, to the Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull.
And speaking to SBS World News, Arnold suggested the FFA should name one of their trophies after the Australian football icon.
"There will be a tribute to him for sure," Arnold said.
"Maybe the FFA Cup should be something named after him, the Les Murray Cup, because that's something he brought to us."

Opposition leader Bill Shorten has even called for Murray to be awarded a state funeral, labelling him a "national icon".
"I sincerely hope the state government offers Les Murray's family a state funeral and I certainly think they should," Mr Shorten said.
"Les is a national icon who did so much to grow the world game and to champion multicultural Australia. He deserves nothing less than the full symphony of tribute and respect.
"Ultimately it's a decision for Les' family, but I think the offer should be made at least. I can think of few people as deserving of this high honour."
