Graham Arnold is searching for an Asian player to boost his side's AFC Champions League campaign.
ACL’s 3+1 rule allows the Sky Blues to sign an Asian player outside the cap ahead of the A-League Champions’ ACL crusade in February.
Already boasting four imports in Bobo, Milos Ninkovic, Jordy Buijs and Adrian Mierzejewski – one player will be omitted from the ACL squad.
"We've got a plus one in an Asian foreigner available and that can be outside the salary cap," Arnold said Friday.
"So we're looking to strengthen the squad with an Asian to help with the Champions League program.
"We're looking for someone with pace and someone who can change the game.
"We're always looking but it's whether you can get them here or not."
Arnold’s side face Perth Glory at Allianz Stadium tomorrow night and sit five points clear on the ladder.
Never content, the mentor has challenged his squad to better last year’s season tally of 66 points.
“We’re expecting to win tomorrow night, we will win tomorrow night,” Arnold said.
“I truly believe, and the belief in the players I’ve got, is that we’re going to have a greater season than what we had last year of 66 points.
“That’s our goal, to beat that, at this moment we’re 31 from 36 and it’s about being 34 from 39 tomorrow.”
