Both teams are coming off morale-boosting wins but Arnold is convinced the Sky Blues can lift the tophy despite the short turnaround.

"We’re at fortress Allianz, we’ve got a fantastic record here and we’ll have a big crowd behind us," Arnold told Fox Sports.

"I had a brief look at Adelaide but my focus was always on (Saturday), winning and  going back top of the ladder.

"I’ll go home now and sit up until all hours and have a good look at Adelaide. I just know my boys a ready for it."

Milestone man Brosque: It's all about the win

The Reds defeated Central Coast Mariners 2-1 on Thursday and will have two extra days to recover for the Cup clash.

While Sydney FC had a touch night of it on Saturday to secure a 2-1 win over Newcastle Jets on a heavy rain-soaked pitch.

"I think our first half was outstanding," Arnold said post match. "It should have been all over. It should have been four or five nil at the break.

"The execution is letting us down at the moment. We’ll work hard at that, we’ll get better at that and as I’ve just said to the boys I look forward to Tuesday night with two times the first half."

The Sydney boss rested a number of players ahead of the final, and gave early marks to others. Milos Ninkovic was subbed on 66 minutes giving game time to Polish import Adrian Mierzejewski, and captain Alex Brosque took his leave on 71 minutes as young Charles Lokolingoy came on for his A-League debut.

Arnold added: "I rested obviously Lukey Wilkshire, Matty Simon and it was always the plan to get Ninkovic off after 60, 65 minutes.

"We’ve probably got seven or eight fresh players now. We’re looking very good. The boys are fit. The adrenalin will kick in.

"We’ve got a short turnaround obviously but with such good medical staff for the recovery they’ll be fine."

As for Mierzejewski, Arnold explained the club had taken a cautious approach.

"He’s such a good player but the most important thing for us over the last few weeks was getting him strong and fit again - not play him for a game here and there and him feeling tight in the hamstring," Arnold said.

"He’s strong and he’s ready. It’s not easy to come on in those type of games where it’s last 20 minutes to go and the game is end to end.

"I was a little bit disappointed how open it was in the second half and we’ll have a look at that. But look when he comes back in he’ll be great for us."
