Arnold's Sky Blues side walked all over a tired-looking Adelaide outfit at Allianz Stadium, with Brazilian import Bobo notching his 26th goal of the season in a 3-0 win.

The Brazilian's second goal, a turning half-volley in the 65th minute, broke the A-league record for most goals in a single season. Only Damian Mori has struck more in one campaign throughout Australian football history - notching 31 with Adelaide City in 1995/96.

"I just got asked if he’s underrated," Arnold said. "50 goals or so he’s scored now, so we don’t underrate him.

"He’ll do whatever you ask him to do. He’s a fantastic person and he works so hard for the team.

"We’ve got three of the best that have been in the A-League. It’s about attitude and being ruthless. People thought we might take our foot off the pedal but there’s just no chance."

Sydney's next two games are two of their biggest, with the Big Blue against Melbourne Victory next week before a do-or-die ACL clash against Shanghai Shenhua.

But as record's continue to crumble for a surging Sydney outfit, Arnold was feeling bullish about the club's future.

"The Champions League has improved us enormously fitness wise, mentally and in decision-making," he said.

"The quality of our play is better than it’s ever been. By giving young players the opportunity, the depth of the squad has increased. There’s good healthy pressure.

"When you’re able to leave out our captain, Alex Brosque, as well as Alex Wilkinson and Milos Ninkovic, it shows Sydney’s in good hands for the future."
