Arnold has been linked with the post, with current coach Ange Postecoglou confirming he’ll stand down at the end of Australia’s 2018 World Cup campaign.

Postecoglou’s tenure could be over as soon as next week with Australia’s World Cup fate in the air against Syria ahead of play-offs on October 5 and 10.

Arnold broke numerous records with Sydney last season before clinching the A-League premiership/championship double.

The Sky Blues said he’d had “zero” contact from the FFA about replacing Postecoglou and was content in his current role.

“I’m a great supporter of Ange and what he has done,” Arnold said at the Sydney FC season launch.

“I’m a great supporter of the Socceroos. I’m contracted to Sydney FC. I’ve got another 18 months here at Sydney.

“I love my work here at Sydney. It’s a fantastic club.

“I go to work with a smile on my face every day here at Sydney and that’s the most important thing.”

Arnold added that he’s fully focused on Sydney ahead of their Round One clash away to Melbourne Victory on Saturday evening, not the Socceroos’ first leg on Thursday night.

“The whole country is behind the Socceroos tomorrow night against Syria,” he said.

“How much have I looked at it or focused on it? Not much at all.

“I’ll be a keen supporter as always but I’m focused on Melbourne on Saturday night.”

Arnold said he wanted Sydney to be bigger and better than last season.

“We don’t talk about last season, last season is finished,” he said.

“It’s all about moving forward and being greater than what we were last season.

“We believe we’ve got a greater squad than what we had last season. We’re looking forward to the start this weekend.”
