Melbourne City sensation Daniel Arzani has hailed the return of Bruno Fornaroli to the A-League's elite as his side bounced back into form and came closer to sealing third spot this season.
The Uruguayan opened the scoring in the first half and a maiden A-League goal for Michael Jakobsen doubled the lead before Stefan Mauk finished City's 3-0 rout of Western Sydney Wanderers.
But it was Arzani and Fornaroli who starred against a lacklustre WSW.
"I was really happy with the way we were keeping the ball," he told Fox Sports at full-time. " I think everyone defended well and we worked well as a unit.
"We all know the potential Bruno has - he's scored a ridiulous amount of goals and we're happy to have him back at his best."
Fornaroli, who has missed most of the season throug injury, poicked up the man of the match award for a stunning performance.
"Tonight is the first time I feel 90% better," he said after the match, but added: "Always I feel pain.
"It;'s not easy to come back, especially after six months without playing. It's difficult. Step by step I feel better, so I'm very happy to do this."
