Socceroos teenager Daniel Arzani got his first competitive minutes with Celtic's reserves overnight in a 3-0 loss to Hamilton Academical.
Arzani started and played 62 minutes in the defeat, having joined Celtic on a two-year loan deal 10 days ago.
The Scottish Sun reported: "Socceroos superkid Arzani showed glimpses of his quality as he twice went close to finding the net."
The 19-year-old winger is trying to build up his fitness following his 2018 World Cup commitments and ensuing break. Arzani has been training with Celtic for the past fortnight.
He seldom completed the full 90 minutes for Melbourne City last term, despite making 15 starts.
The ex-City youngster won't be considered for selection for Celtic's Europa League second leg qualifier against Suduva from 5am AEST on Friday.
