Socceroos whizkid Daniel Arzani won't be making his Celtic debut anytime soon, with his Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers admitting he's well behind in terms of fitness.
The 19-year-old winger joined Celtic on a two-year loan deal late last week and has joined in training.
Arzani wasn't part of the Celtic squad which won 3-1 at Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership on the weekend.
He also hasn't made the trip to Lithuania for Celtic's Europa League clash with Suduva from 3am AEST Friday.
"He’s settling in very well," Rodgers said.
"He’s a really good boy and hungry to do well.
"He’s obviously a bit behind in terms of fitness, naturally, because he’s only just joined and hasn’t had the chance to play since the World Cup."
Arzani made three appearances off the bench for Australia at the 2018 World Cup where he impressed with his skill and speed.
Last term was a breakthrough season for him, making 18 league appearances for Melbourne City, but only a handful of full 90-minute shifts.
