Daniel Arzani is getting excited for his first A-League finals campaign, fresh from picking up the Member's Player of the Year award at Melbourne City.
The 19-year-old has been the A-League's star-turn this season, making huge waves in Australia and, to a certain extent, around the world with his performances for Melbourne City.
Now he gets the opportunity to perform under the intense pressure of a finals series, with a club that have big ambitions after a third-placed finish.
“I’m very excited personally. I know the buzz around the camp at the moment is very excited as well,” Arzani said.
“I think we can do something special this year.
“We’ve been very solid this year. Especially coming in towards the end of the season, defensively – I think that gives the boys a lot of confidence.
“We can actually do something this year. [I’m] very confident in that.”
Melbourne City face Brisbane Roar in the first elimination final on April 20 at AAMI Park.
