AUSTRALIA remain just outside the world's top 20 in the latest FIFA rankings but one of their World Cup group rivals has made a big jump.
Pim Verbeek's men are ranked 23rd in the latest rankings, just as they were last month but the latest figures were compiled ahead of last night's Asian Cup win over Indonesia.
World Cup rivals Serbia have jumped six points in the rankings and now sit in 13th spot. Germany remain in fifth spot with Ghana dropping a place to number 28.
Ricki Herbert's New Zealand side also drop one place and are currently ranked number 80.
The top five teams in the world are unchanged with Spain ranked number one, followed by Brazil, Netherlands, Italy and Germany.
Greece climb back into the top 10 for the first time since 2008.
