TIM Cahill and Pim Verbeek can both breathe a sigh of relief after x-rays confirmed the Socceroo star's latest injury scare was severe bruising rather than a break.
The midfielder/emergency striker hobbled off in the midweek 1-1 draw with Arsenal and although Everton boss David Moyes was hopeful that it was nothing sinister, wanted to be absolutely sure.
The question for Moyes now is whether to throw Cahill straight back in against Manchester United this weekend or wait for the midweek FA Cup replay against Liverpool.
Either way, Pim Verbeek should have a key player fit and raring to go against Japan in the crucial World Cup qualifier next month.
