Atletico Madrid has secured new deals with France trio Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez and Thomas Lemar.
Not even the hothouse of World Cup football can get in the way of club business.
Atletico CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín flew to Russia to renew the contracts of Griezmann (until 2023) and Lucas (until 2024) under strict guidelines set by France coach Didier Deschamps.
Lemar will join the La Liga side following a medical and formalisation of the deal by AS Monaco.
France won their opening World Cup match 2-1 against the Socceroos on Saturday night (AEST).
