Former Central Coast Mariners defender Jimmy Oates has signed for English League Two club Exeter City.
Sydney-born Oates came through the Manly United ranks and spent three years on the books at the Mariners.
He left Central Coast in 2013 and two years later signed for National League north club Hereford FC in the UK.
After three years with Hereford, where he captained and helped get the club promoted, the 27-year-old has joined the Grecians after a three-week trial period.
"I’m over the moon," Oates told the club website.
"It has been a big three weeks, coming in is never easy but I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I’m looking to getting properly started with the team.
"The boys have been awesome, they’ve welcomed me with open arms, it’s been good to play with them straight away and I’ve really enjoyed it.

"I’ve got a lot of respect for Matt (Taylor, manager) having known him previously at Hartpury College. I’m a big fan of what he is doing here and what he is trying to implement. I’m looking forward to working with him in the future.
"I used to play in the National Youth League with Central Coast Mariners, but I had a bit of injury trouble so from about 20-22 I was struggling a little bit. It’s good to come over here and get another chance.
"I’m definitely up for the challenge. Coming over here was a dream of mine, to play league football, and now that I’ve got this opportunity I look forward to making my debut and going from there."
