Morton, who came through the AIS, spent the 2016/2017 season with Glory's youth team.

He left NPL Western Australian club ECU Joondalup to join Morton on trial last year.

After impressing then and on loan at Queen's Park, the 21-year-old signed with the Scottish Championship side for the rest of the season.

Morton, who bagged three goals in 14 appearances, has now linked with Morton until the end of the 2018/2019 season.

“The club gave me my opportunity when I first moved over from Australia and they believed in me when I was working hard and got my chance, and now I just want to repay them for the faith they’ve shown," the fullback told the club website.

“I mean, the first season was basically all positive for me. I went out on loan, came back, and played the majority of games in the second half of the season, involved in a good team scoring goals. I really enjoyed myself.

“Now, I want to kick on next season, for sure, and cement that spot as my own.

"Whenever there is a change of manager at a club, everyone starts with a blank slate. It doesn’t matter who it is, you have to have that attitude to do everything to show the new manager you’re good enough to play.”
