AUSTRALIAN defender Scott Guyett will be on the lookout for a new club this off-season after being released by financially troubled League Two runners-up Bournemouth.
The 34-year-old centre-half, who played with Brisbane City in his younger days, didn't have his contract renewed at Bournemouth after an injury ravaged season.
Guyett, who has spent most of his career in England's lower leagues, was released along with Sammy Igoe and Jeff Goulding after the Cherries clinched promotion to League One this season.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said: "Scottie, Sammy and Jeff all played their part in a successful season so it was a very difficult decision not to offer them something."
Howe added injuries played a part in his decision, with Guyett making just nine appearances during the 2009/2010 campaign.
"Scottie was injured for a large part and had to have a couple of operations," he said. "We would like to publically thank them for their service to the club and wish them all the best for the future.
"They are excellent professionals and have been a pleasure to work with."
It is believed non-league Eastbourne Borough are interested in Guyett's services.
