RISING star Bradden Inman could be lost to the Socceroos in the future with the Newcastle United youngster being heavily courted by Scotland as he waits for his homeland to get in touch.
The young midfielder, who featured on the bench for the Magpies against Manchester City last month, was born in Adelaide but qualifies for Scotland through his mother.
He has been called into the Scottish under 19 squad for their next clash although he won't be locked into playing for the country at full level until he takes his bow at under 21 level.
Inman says he is simply responding to the country that has shown interest. He says no-one in Australia has been in touch with him.
He told the Herald-Sun: "I did think if I can come over to Newcastle then the next step is to try to play for Australia," Inman said.
"But no one's been in contact with me or anything.
"My goals are playing for Newcastle's first team, and either playing for Scotland or Australia, maybe in a World Cup.
"At the minute playing for Scotland, it's a lot better.
"If you travel to Australia you've got to sit on a plane for 24 hours and you don't play matches that are as good. So, at the minute, it's Scotland."
