Australian midfielder Kenny Dougall has made the switch from Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam to English League One side Barnsley pending a medical.
In a deal reportedly worth AUS$600,000, Dougall has taken on a new challenge following the relegation of Sparta Rotterdam to the Dutch second division.
The 25-year-old spent three seasons in Holland with the Castle Lords making 89 first team appearances and scoring two goals.
Barnsley were relegated from the English Championship last season after finishing 22nd in the 24 team competition.

Dougall joins fellow Australians Ryan Williams, Brad Inman, Callum Elder and Cameron Burgess in the English League One.
The defensive midfielder was snapped up by the Brisbane Roar youth team at just 16 years of age and four years later earned his senior stripes at Brisbane City in the NPL Queensland.
In July 2014 he penned a deal with Telstar SC in the Eerste Divisie where he quickly beame a first team regular, playing 29 matches resulting in a contract with Sparta Rotterdam the following season.
Later that year Dougall made his debut for Australia U23's where he went on to earn four caps.
