Former Adelaide United midfielder George Mells has joined Fortuna Sittard on trial.
From the age of 12 to 17 Mells was in the UK with Chelsea and Southampton.
The Melbourne-born midfielder, who has represented both Australia and Greece at junior international level, returned home in 2015.
He joined the Reds and helped them claim the double in the 2015/2016 season.
Good luck to my former club @AdelaideUnited tonight! Up for their first trophy since this incredible day ... 😉🏆 #AUFC .. All the best boys! pic.twitter.com/YTilig7iJE

The 20-year-old departed Adelaide last year, after 31 appearances, to try his hand in Europe.
Now Mells is training with Dutch second division side Fortuna.
