18-year-old Toowoomba-native Jed Hockin is a Real Madrid fan who posts trick-shot videos to social media, and he's good. Real Madrid good.
The Aussie, who boasts almost 40,000 followers on Instagram and claims he's a two-time world record holder, sent a video of himself performing flicks and tricks in a Real Madrid shirt to the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid then shared the video across their platforms, propelling the Aussie teen to the next level of social media stardom. The video now has over five million views across Twitter and Instagram.
"I've been playing sport and football since I was a little kid," Jed said.
"Because of my passion for sport, I started posting my skill and trickshot videos to Instagram two years ago, where people seemed to really enjoy it.
"The video that Real Madrid shared was one I filmed in my backyard of 50 acres in the country outside of Toowoomba. I had an ambitious idea to film a video in my Real Madrid kit and see if they would be interested in sharing it.
"They got back to me very quick, saying they were interested to post the video across their social media but not straightaway.
"I was buzzing when I heard them say that, I waited about one week and bang they posted it."
