SYDNEY teenager Ante Drazina is about to be unveiled by German 2.Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin where he’ll join Socceroos striker Nikita Rukavytsya at the capital club.
After impressing Hertha coach Markus Babbel the unknown youngster is now set to sign a two-year deal with the second division club.
The towering 18-year-old central defender comes from the youth team of Sydney United in the NSW Premier League club.
Babbel, formerly a Liverpool and Germany star, invited Drazina to trial with the Berliners two weeks ago on the strength of a DVD sent to the club by the player's agent.
Drazina is said to have impressed during the week-long trial and the young Aussie's representatives are now due to fly out to Germany this week to sign off on a two-year deal.
Hertha was relegated from the Bundesliga last season.
