Preparations for the Asian Cup are well advanced among the organised groups travelling to cheer on their heroes and the message is one of unity.
Australia fans made a big impression in Kaiserslautern and the hope is that Bangkok will have the same buzz.
The Fanatics are hoping to create what they refer to as ‘B-Town’ in an area of the Thai capital (just as K-Town came about in Germany).
Before each of the group encounters supporters will be encouraged to meet up in an area where there is no shortage of options for a cold beer or two.
A Fanatics spokesman said: “On Sukhumvit Soi 22 there is an area of 20 outdoor bars all behind each other and I thought we could describe the area as B-Town (in memory of K-Town during Germany 2006).
"The main bar to meet at is Rumours Beer Bar.”
The Fanatics, are not alone in heading to Bangkok for the tournament. Members of the Green and Gold Army will also be out in force and they have earmarked their base for a pre-match drink. Supporters are encouraged to make their way to the wine pub and sportsman’s bar at the Arnoma Hotel. This can be located at 99 Rajdamri Road, Pathumwan.
