The keeper has impressed in the youth teams and has been handed a new professional deal taking him through to the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Driscoll travelled with the Royals' first-team squad to join the pre-season group in Holland last year.

He also trained with Jaap Stam’s senior squad during a mid-season training camp spent in Spain last month.

The West Australian spent nearly four months on loan with local non-league side Staines Town, helping them push for promotion during the first half of their season, before returning to Reading at the start of 2018 to feature for the Under-23s.

Driscoll, who has a British passport, has caught the eye in England and late last year was called up to an England Under-19 and Under-20 training camp.
