In League Two Jordan Lyden returned to starting action for Swindon Town as they beat Plymouth Argyle 2-1 away from home with Cameron McGilp on the bench. Later in the week Lyden was sent off in the 93rd minute against Bradford in a 1-1 draw.

In the English Youth Leagues Zak Gilsenan started and played 75 minutes for Blackburn Rovers U18 as they lost 3-0 to Liverpool U18.

In Saudi Arabia Brad Jones made the match winning penalty save as his Al Nassr secured the Saudi Super Cup, beating Al Taawoun 5-4 in a shoot-out.

Craig Goodwin played 120 minutes and missed his penalty in the shoot-out but Al_Wehda still progressed to the next stage of the King's Cup, beating Al Raed.
In Qatar Shane Lowry played 90 minutes for Al Ahli as they lost 3-0 at home to Al Arabi. Isaias Sanchez also played a full game for Al Wakrah as they beat Al Sadd 2-1.
In India Erik Paartalu played a full match for Bengalurru as they beat FC Goa 2-1 at home, meanwhile David Williams played an hour of ATK's 2-0 win over Mumbai City.
In Hong Kong Travis Major has continued his goal scoring form with two goals for Southern District RSA as they defeated Tai Po 2-1.
