AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Mark Bresciano has ended the UAE Pro League season in style, scoring for Al Nasr in the 2-2 draw with Al Shabab.
Bresciano fired home five minutes from time and looked to have secured all three points for his team, before Jociel Ciel equalised for Al Shabab in the final seconds of the match.
The point was enough for Al Nasr to secure a top two finish in the UAE Pro League.
Elsewhere in the UAE, Lucas Neill did not feature for Al Jazira in the 2-0 loss to Dubai.
In the J-League, Jade North played a full match as Consadole Sapporo’s woes continued with a 3-1 loss to Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Fellow Socceroo Matthew Spiranovic was included in the Urawa match day squad for the first time in the 2012 J-League season, but he didn’t make it off the bench in his team’s 1-1 draw with FC Tokyo.
Josh Kennedy put in a full shift as Nagoya Grampus went down 1-0 to Cerezo Osaka, while Alex Brosque was suspended for Shimizu S-Pulse’s 0-0 draw against Yokohama F. Marinos.
In the J2-League, Mark Milligan returned to the starting line up and put in a full shift as JEF United continued their push towards promotion with a 2-0 win over Oita Trinita.
In the K-League, Eddy Bosnar put in a full shift as Suwon Bluewings suffered a 3-0 loss to title-rivals Jeonbuk Motors.
Luke DeVere played a full match as Gyeongnam defeated Pohang Steelers 1-0, while Sasa Ognenovski put in a full shift for Seognam Illwha in the goalless draw with Daegu FC.
Fit-again Adrian Madaschi played the full 90 minutes as Jeju United continued their ascent up the K-League ladder with a 2-1 victory over Sangju Sangmu
Matt McKay’s Busan, Nathan Burns’ Incheon United and Robbie Corthwaite’s Chunnam Dragons are not scheduled to play until tonight.
In the Chinese Super Liga, Milan Susak’s Tianjin Teda drew 0-0 with Jonas Salley’s Shanghai Shenxin. Both Players put in full shifts.
Rostyn Griffiths started and played 59 minutes of Guangzhou R&F’s 5-1 thrashing of Changchun Yatai.
Elsewhere in China, Dino Dulbic put in a full shift as Guizhou Renhe lost 2-1 to Shanghai Shenhua. Joel Griffiths was absent for Shanghai because of a knee injury.
In Italy, Carl Valeri played a full match as Sassuolo ended the regular season with a 3-1 victory over Juve Stabia. They will now compete in a promotion play-off series against Sampdoria, Hellas Verona and Varese.
In the Uruguayan Primera Division, Richard Porta was absent from the match day squad because of a head injury, but it didn’t stop Nacional from defeating Montevideo Wanderers 2-0.
