In the UEFA Europa League James Holland had a man of the match performance for LASK Linz as they knocked out AZ Alkmaar beating them 2-0 at home. He will now face Manchester United in the round of 16.
Tom Rogic made a rare start as he played 90 minutes for Celtic who were knocked out of the competition by Copenhagen. Aziz Behich was absent but his Basaksehir turned around an almost impossible deficit to go through 5-4 on aggregate against Sporting after extra time.
In Germany Mathew Leckie was an unused sub as Hertha Berlin bounced back with a 3-3 draw away to Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Brandon Borrello was once again an unused sub for Freiburg in a 1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
Christian Theoharous was a substitute and scored a consolation for Borussia Mönchengladbach II as they lost 3-1 to SC Verl. Jacob Italiano was absent. Noah Botic was a substitute for Hoffenheim U19 as they lost to SC Freiburg U19.
In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya added another goal to his tally to make it 18 for the season, while Trent Sainsbury played a full match alongside him as Maccabi Haifa beat Hapoel Beer Sheva 4-0.
In Austria James Holland got an assist as LASK Linz smashed Hartberg 5-1 while James Jeggo played 90 minutes against his old club Sturm Graz with Austria Wien drawing 1-1.
In Serbia Milos Degenek played a full match as Red Star drew 0-0 at home to Partizan.
In Denmark Mustafa Amini was brought off the bench as his contract talks roll on for another week. Alex Gersbach and Zach Duncan were both absent as AGF drew 0-0 with Hobro.
In the Netherlands Ajdin Hrustic played 90 minutes for FC Groningen as they lost 3-1 away to Willem II who had Dylan Ryan on the bench.
In Croatia Fran Karacic played a full game for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb as they beat Inter Zapresic 2-0 away from home. Anthony Kalik was unused for HNK Gorica as they beat Istra 1961 3-0.
In Portugal Anthony Carter scored in Academico Viseu's 3-1 away loss to Farense.
In Bulgaria Tomi Juric played 30 minutes off the bench for CSKA Sofia as they lost 2-1 to Tsarsko Selo.
In Italy Cristian Volpato got an assist as AS Roma U17 beat Cosenza 5-2.
