There were plenty of goals to savour by our Aussies Abroad who put on a show as the football seasons kicks off once more.
UK
It was the final week of pre-season for Mat Ryan in the English Premier League as his Brighton and Hove Albion defeated Valencia 2-1 with Ryan playing a full game.
The English Championship got underway this week with plenty of Aussies getting into the action. Jackson Irvine was a playmaker for Hull City, getting an assist as they lost their opening match 2-1 to Swansea City.

Massimo Luongo's club situation got murkier as he was omitted from QPR's squad that defeated Stoke City 2-1. Adam Federici was an unused sub for 'The Potters'.
Bailey Wright was absent, still carrying an injury, as Bristol City lost 3-1 at home to Leeds United.
In Scotland Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani were still carrying niggles as Celtic began the season with a 7-0 rout of St. Johnstone. Lyndon Dykes played his first match in the Scottish Premiership as he started and played until the 82nd minute for Livingston in their 0-0 draw with Motherwell.
Oliver Bozanic was an unused sub for Hearts as they lost 3-2 away to Aberdeen with Ben Garuccio still nursing an ACL tear.
Elsewhere in England Olyroo Harry Souttar scored and assisted a goal in Fleetwood Town's 3-1 victory over Peterborough.

Socceroos captain Mark Milligan captained Southend United in their first of the season in a 1-0 loss to Coventry. Ryan Williams was absent from Porstmouth's squad that lost 1-0 to Shrewsbury Town.
Ryan Edwards played a full match for Burton Albion as his side lost 1-0 to Ipswich Town. Edwards moved to the former home of Socceroos Jackson Irvine only a few weeks ago.
In the English League Two Jack Iredale played ten minutes off the bench in Carlisle United's 2-1 win over Crawley Town. Cameron Burgess was an unused sub at Salford City in their first match in the professional leagues, defeating Stevenage 2-0.
Jordan Lyden played a full match at his new club in Swindon Town as they defeated Scunthorpe United 2-0. Cameron McGilp was absent for Swindon.
In the Irish Premier Division Harry Ascroft scored Finn Harps' winning goal in a 1-0 win over Bohemians.
EUROPE
In Germany Mathew Leckie played half an hour for Hertha Berlin in a 4-0 friendly win over Crystal Palace. Christian Theoharous was an unused sub for Borussia Mönchengladbach II as they defeated Wattenscheid 2-1.
John Iredale got on the scoresheet for Wolfsburg II in their 3-0 win over Vfb Oldenburg.
In the Netherlands Ajdin Hrustic was the hero for FC Groningen as he scored an 87th minute winner against FC Emmen.

In Serbia Milos Degenek made his return to Champions League football with Red Star Belgrade playing a few minutes off the bench as his side progressed on aggregate against HJK.
His side will now play Kobenhavn for a place in the UEFA Champions League groups stage.
Trent Sainsbury got some gametime for PSV starting at centre-back in a 1-1 draw with FC Twente. Dylan Ryan was on the bench for Willem II as they defeated PEC Zwolle 3-1.
In Belgium George Timotheou made his Belgian league debut coming on as a 52nd minute substitute for Zulte Waragrem as they lost 4-0 to Standard Liege.
In Austria Jimmy Jeggo's Austria Wien and James Holland's LASK Linz faced off against each other. LASK ran out 3-0 winners with Holland grabbing an assist.

In Denmark Awer Mabil's FC Midtjylland pulled off a dramatic late win to seal three points in a 1-0 victory over Aalborg. Mabil played five minutes off the bench.
In Croatia Anthony Kalik played nine minutes off the bench for Hajduk Split while Fran Karacic played a full match for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb as Hajduk ran out 3-0 winners.
In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou played a full game and got an assist as AEK Larnaca progressed to the next round of qualifying for the Europa League defeating Levski Sofia 4-0 and 7-0 on aggregate.
AEK now need to defeat Belgian club Gent in a two leg affair to qualify for the Europa League group stage.
In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya played a full game and scored for Maccabi Haifa as they were knocked out on aggregate in Europe League qualifying despite defeating Strasbourg 2-1.
ASIA
In Japan Ange Postecoglou's Yokohama F Marinos' title chances were dealt a huge blow after his side lost 1-0 to Shimizu S-Pulse. Kawasaki Frontale are hot on their heels in the J-League.
Mitchell Langerak played a full match against Urawa Red Diamonds in a 2-2 draw.
In midweek football in Korea Adam Taggart extended his lead in the goal scoring charts with another goal in a 2-0 win for Suwon Bluewings over Daegu thanks to an assist from new teammate Terry Antonis.
Later in the week Taggart played a full match while Terry Antonis was absent as Suwon lost 2-0 to Pohang Steelers.

Rashid Mahazi played a full match for Incheon United in their 1-1 draw with Gyeongnam. Later in the week Mahazi completed another 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Seongnam.
Aleksandar Jovanovic was taken off injured in Jeju United's 2-2 draw with Jeonbuk Hyundai for whom Bernie Ibini was also absent.
In Uzbekistan Steven Lustica played a full match as his side Qizilqum were thrashed 5-0 at home to Pakhtakor Tashkent.
NORTH AMERICA AND AFRICA
In the MLS Andy Rose played four minutes off the bench for Vancouver Whitecaps in a 2-1 win over Cincinnati FC.
In the South African Premier Division Kearyn Baccus played the first half for Kaizer Chiefs as they defeated Highlands Park 3-2.
