Rukavytsya came on the in 79th minute as Hertha secured 16th spot on the Bundesliga table with a 3-1 win against Hoffenhiem, while Kruse was an unused substitute as Dusseldorf finished third in the Bundesliga 2 following a 2-2 draw against MSV Duisburg.
Chris Herd’s Aston Villa ensured their survival in the English Premier League following a 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
Herd kept his place in the starting line up in spite of his involvement in a fracas outside a Birmingham nightclub during the week.

In the Czech Liga, Kerem Bulut played a full match up front for Mlada Boleslav in the 1-0 loss to Viktoria Plezen.
In Scotland, Ryan McGowan put in a full shift as Heart of Midlothian defeated St. Johnstone 2-0.
Aaron Mooy remained on the bench for the duration of St Mirren’s 1-0 loss to Inverness.
In the Russian Premier League, Luke Wilkshire started and played 52 minutes as Dinamo Moscow’s bid for a spot in the Champions League was dealt another blow following a 2-2 draw against Lokomotiv Moscow.
