The Australian slid in at the back post to place the ball home to give S-Pulse the lead on 39 minutes. The goal was Brosque's second for Shimizu since joining the club from Sydney FC in February.

Brosque was then involved in Shimizu's second when he chested down for Naohiro Takahara to volley home on 50 minutes.
