AUSSIES ABROAD: Young Australian James Wesolowski was part of the Peterborough side which celebrated promotion to England's Championship after a 3-0 play-off final win over Huddersfield.
Wesolowski, 23, started and played the full game in midfield as three goals in the final quarter of an hour sealed promotion for Posh.
The Sydney-born midfielder, who is uncapped at senior international level, has previously played in England's second tier with Leicester City.
In Italy's Serie B, Socceroo Carl Valeri put in a full shift in midfield and picked up a yellow card as Sassuolo avoided the drop and the play-offs after a 3-2 win over Reggina on the final day of the season.

The Aussie striker, 28, has been included in the Socceroos squad for the upcoming New Zealand and Serbia friendlies.
