AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Sasa Ognenovski netted an own goal as Seongnam Ilhwa's poor season continued with a 2-2 draw at home to Incheon United in Korea's K-League on Sunday.
Ognenovski, who played a full game at the back, put the ball in his own net on 46 minutes for the game's opening goal.
Asian champions Seongnam are 14th in the K-League, with just three wins from 17 games this season.
In China's Super League, John Hutchinson and Adam Kwasnik combined to good effect for the opening goal but Chengdu Blades lost again, 2-1 to Shandong Luneng on Sunday.
Hutchinson, who joined the struggling Blades earlier this week, produced a nice throughball for Kwasnik who got in behind the Shandong defence before a cool finish for the opener on nine minutes.
However, Chengdu's poor run of form continued, as they went winless for the eighth consecutive match, after conceding second-half goals to Shandong pair Deng Zhuoxiang and Julio de Leon.
In a rare piece of good news for Chengdu, Australian striker Brendon Santalab made his return from an ankle injury as a substitute.
In Japan's J.League, Alex Brosque and Eddy Bosnar both played full games as Shimizu S-Pulse won 2-1 at Ventforet Kofu on Saturday, moving the side up to eighth on the table.
Elsewhere, Joshua Kennedy put in a full shift upfront as Nagoya Grampus won 1-0 at Vissel Kobe.
In Japan's J2.League, Socceroo Mark Milligan played a full game as JEF United's lead at the top was cut to one point after a 1-1 draw with Roasso Kumamoto.
Elsewhere, Jade North wasn't in the FC Tokyo squad which drew 0-0 at Oita Trinita.
Returning to Korea's K-League, ex-Adelaide United defender Iain Fyfe played a full game as Busan I'Park made it three consecutive victories and firmed up their top six spot with a 3-2 win at Daegu on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Olyroo Luke DeVere put in a full shift as Gyeongnam won 3-2 at Jeju United, while Robbie Cornthwaite was suspended as Chunnam Dragons strengthened their grip on fourth spot with a 3-1 win over in-form Suwon Bluewings.
Returning to China's Super League, Joel Griffiths played a full game and won a penalty for Beijing Guoan in their 2-1 win over Jiangsu Sainty on Sunday.
Jiangsu, who had Bruce Djite and Alex Wilkinson return to Australia this week after their loan deals expired, saw Xu Liang give Guoan the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Then Jiangsu defender Eleilson clattered into Griffiths inside the box on 79 minutes, earning Guoan a penalty which Xu Liang converted.
Elsewhere, Dino Djulbic had a dramatic game at the back as Shaanxi Chanba lost 1-0 at Dean Heffernan's Liaoning Whowin.
Both players put in full shifts, however it was Djulbic in the thick of the action after an awful pass in defence allowed Liaoning in, only for the Australian to heroically deny them with a lunging tackle.
Djulbic also kept his side in the contest late on when he saved an effort off the line.
Meanwhile, Adam Griffiths did not play as Hangzhou Greentown lost 1-0 at Nanchang Bayi.
In Sweden's Allsvenskan, former Socceroos goalkeeper Ante Covic was an unused substitute as IF Elfsborg won 3-0 over Orebro on Sunday.
In Ireland's Premier Division, Aussie keeper Chris O'Connor remains out with a broken jaw as Bohemians won their fourth consecutive match with a 2-0 victory over Galway United on Friday.
In Iceland's Urvalsdeild, ex-Central Coast and Wellington striker Dylan Macallister scored the third goal as Breidablik defeated Thor 4-1 on Sunday.
