AUSSIES ABROAD: Josh Kennedy made it two goals in two games as J.League champs Nagoya Grampus moved within four points of the summit after a 2-0 win over Montedio Yamagata.
The Australian striker played his part as Nagoya made it three consecutive wins to extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches.
Keiji Tamada had finished off a nice move to give Nagoya the lead on 43 minutes, before Kennedy doubled their advantage 12 minutes into the second stanza.
After an extended spell of possession, Kennedy showed true striker's instincts to tuck home Kensuke Nagai's low cross from the right side of the box.
The goal was Kennedy's eighth of the campaign as the champions continue to recover from a slow start to the season to close to within four points of leaders Yokohama F. Marinos who drew at Omiya Ardija.
