EUROPE 

In the UEFA Champions League Milos Degenek played a full match and kept a clean sheet as Red Star Belgrade recorded a historic 2-0 win over last season's Champions League Finalists Liverpool. Trent Sainsbury played 11 minutes off the bench for PSV as they lost in the last minute to Tottenham at Wembley – via an own goal that deflected into the net off Sainsbury – while Aziz Behich was an unused sub. 

In the UEFA Europa League Danny Vukovic was in goal as KRC Genk played out a 1-1 draw with Besiktas which sent his side two points on top of the group. Apo Giannou played a full game for AEK Larnaca as they drew 0-0 with FC Ludogrets and were subsequently knocked out of the Europa League. Alex Gersbach was an unused sub as Rosenborg lost 5-2 at home to Red Bull Salzburg, getting knocked out still without a point to their name. Tom Rogic played a full match as Celtic defeated Red Bull Leipzig 2-1 at home to close the gap on second spot in their group. 

In Denmark Awer Mabil put in a man of the match performance with two goals and two assists in FC Midtjylland's 5-0 win over Vejle Boldklub. Brent McGrath was absent from Esbjerg FC's squad that defeated SonderjyskE 2-1. Mustafa Amini played the second half for AGF as they lost 2-0 to Brondby. 

In Serbia Milos Degenek played a full game as Red Star Belgrade beat Dinamo Vranje 3-0 away from home. Dejan Pandurevic was absent from FK Zemun's squad as they lost 3-0 to Cukaricki. Andrew Marveggio was absent from Macva's squad that drew 0-0 with Subotica. 

In Italy Gabriel Cleur was an unused sub for Virtus Entella as they beat Arzachena 1-0. Nick Pennington played 65 minutes for Olbia Calcio as they lost 1-0 to Arzachena. Reno Piscopo was absent from AC Renate's squad as they lost 1-0 to Ravena. Giancarlo Galifuoco had a night to forget for FC Rieti as they were smashed 5-1 at home to Potenza. 

In Switzerland Tomi Juric started and played 54 minutes as FC Luzern defeated Lugano 4-1. 

In Belgium Danny Vukovic Played a full game in goal fo KRC Genk in their match against Excel Mousscron. 

In Norway Alex Gersbach was absent from Rosenborg's squad that defeated Start 1-0. Luc Jeggo started and played 87 minutes for Floro SK in their 2-0 loss to Mjøndalen. 

In Portugal Dylan Collard was on the bench in Tondela U19's 3-1 win over Maritimo. Duante Mariner was on the bench for Vizela U19's 3-1 win over Merilenense. 

In Austria Caleb Mikulic was absent from Young Violets squad that drew 0-0 with FAC. Jimmy Jeggo started and played a full game as Austria Wien lost 2-0 to Red Bull Salzburg while James Holland was absent from LASK Linz's squad that pummelled Flyeralarm Admira 5-1. 

In Germany Mat Leckie was an unused sub as Hertha Berlin were smashed 4-1 at home to newly promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf. Julian Schwarzer was an unused sub for Pipinsried 09 as they lost 3-1 to FC Wacker. John Anton-Buceto was an unused sub as Kaan-Marienborn beat Bonner SC 3-2. 

In the German youth leagues Christian Theoharous was absent in Borussia Mönchengladbach II's 1-1 draw with Viktoria Koln. George Timotheou played a full game for Schalke U23 as they defeated FC Gutersloh 3-0 away from home. Jamie Percevski was absent from Fortuna Dusseldorf U19s squad that beat SV Rödinghausen 3-0. Joshua Laws was absent from Fortuna Dusseldorf II's squad that defeated Rot-Weiss Essen. 

In Holland Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were both unused subs in PSV's 4-1 win over De Grafschaap. Denis Genreau was absent from the squad while Dean Bouzanis was an unused sub for PEC Zwolle in their 3-2 loss to Willem II. Seb Pasquali was back in action after international duty with a full game in Jong Ajax's 4-0 win over NEC Nijmegen. Ajdin Hrustic came on in the 85th minute as FC Gronigen beat Heerenveen 2-0 at home. 

In the youth leagues in Holland John Iredale was absent from Jong Heerenveen's team that drew 2-2 with Jong Go Ahead Eagles. Dylan Ryan also returned from international duty and put in a full shift for Jong WIllem Tilburg while Luca Da Silva was absent in a 3-0 loss to Jong Excelsior. 

In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya scored the winning goal in Maccabi Haifa's 2-1 win over Hapoel Hadera 

In Croatia Steven Lustica was absent from Inter Zapresic's team that drew 0-0 with Slaven Belupo and lost 3-0 to Hajduk Split. Anthony Kalik was absent from NK Rudes' team that lost 5-1 to NK Rijeka. Fran Karacic played a full game as NK Lokomotiv Zagreb lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb. 

In the Czech Republic Golgol Mebrahtu was an unused sub as Sparta Prague beat Karvina 3-1 away from home. Mebrahtu is yet to score for Sparta Prague since arriving in winter. 

In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou played 12 minutes off the bench for AEK Larnaca in their 3-0 win over Alki Oroklini for whom Bai Antoniou was an unused sub. 

In Slovakia Aleksander Susnjar played a full match for MSK Zilina in their 1-0 cup win over Sered. Susnjar later in the week played a full game in a 2-0 away win over Trencin. 

UK 

In the Premier League Aaron Mooy played a full match in Huddersfield's first win of the season, 1-0 against Fulham. Later in the week Mooy played a full game in their 1-1 draw with West Ham United. Mat Ryan was in between the sticks as Brighton lost 2-1 to Cardiff City. 

In the English Championship Jackson Irvine played a full match as Hull City drew 3-3 with Birmingham City. James Meredith was a 90th minute substitute as Millwall lost in a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Norwich City. Mass Luongo played a full game and scored in QPR's 3-2 win over Brentford. Ryan Williams played until stoppage time in Rotherham's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers. Adam Federici was an unused sub for Stoke City in their 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest. Mile Jedinak was an unused sub in Aston Villa's 3-0 win over Derby County.

Harry Kewell's Notts County drew 0-0 with Oldham Athletic in the English League Two. 

In the FA Cup Ryan McGowan played a full match as Bradford City drew 1-1 in the first round against Aldershot Town. Brad Inman started and played 89 minutes as Rochdale progressed, beating Gateshead 2-1. Harry Kewell's Notts County were tossed out of the cup, losing 4-0 to Barnsley. Cameron Burgess played a full game as Scunthorpe United progressed, beating Burton Albion 2-1. 

In the English youth leagues Ryan Blumberg played a full game while Ashley Maynard-Brewer was an unused sub as Charlton U23 1-1 draw with Bristol City U23. Blumberg played another full game in their 0-0 draw with Stoke U23 in the Premier League Cup. Ben Folami played a full game and scored in Ipswich U23's 2-2 draw with Cardiff U23. Tyrese Francois completed 90 minutes in a 5-0 win over Colchester. 

In the SPFL Tom Rogic played a full 90 minutes as Celtic drew 0-0 to Livingston. Jamie Maclaren played until the 79th minute while Martin Boyle and Mark Milligan played 90 minutes as Hibernian lost 1-0 to Aberdeen. Ben Garuccio played 86 minutes while Oli Bozanic was an unused sub as Hearts lost 1-0 to Kilmarnock. Jesse Curran played a full match for Dundee FC as they drew 1-1 with St. Mirren for whom Ryan Edwards also played 90 minutes. 

ASIA 

In Japan Mitchell Langerak kept a clean sheet for Nagoya Grampus in their 1-0 win over Cerezo Osaka. Ange Postecoglou got Yokohama F Marinos back into the winners circle with a 1-0 victory over V-Varen Nagasaki. Mitch Duke played 10 minutes off the bench for Shimizu S-Pulse in their 2-0 win over Nagoya Grampus for whom Mitch Langerak also played a full game. Andrew Nabbout entered the fray in the 89th minute for Urawa Red Diamonds as they beat Consadole Sapporo 2-1. 

In Korea Kwabena Appiah was an unused sub for Incheon united in their 3-2 win over Gangwon for whom Dylan McGowan played a full game and scored a goal. Aleksander Jovanovic played until the 84th minute for Jeju United as they drew 0-0 with Jeonbuk Hyundai. Connor Chapman played a full match for Pohang Steelers in their 2-1 win over Gyeongnam. James Donachie was an unused sub for Jeonnam Dragons as they lost 3-2 to FC Seoul. 

In Saudi Arabia Jack Duncan and Rhys Williams played full matches for Al Qadisiyah as they beat Al Ahli 2-0. 

In India Erik Paartalu played a full match as Bengaluru FC beat Kerala Blasters 2-1. Tim Cahill came on for the last 24 minutes of Jamshedpur's 2-2 draw with Delhi Dynamos.
