In the German Bundesliga it was a worrying Jekyll and Hyde week for Mathew Leckie who scored in Hertha Berlin's 2-2 draw with Augsburg before being substituted off in the second half of a 3-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen with a hamstring injury.

Robbie Kruse returned from injury and played half an hour for Vfl Bochum in a 3-2 win over FC Köln. Kruse was named in the 23-man squad for the Asian Cup in January. Kwame Yeboah was an unused sub as Fortuna Koln defeated Preußen Münster 2-0.
In the Netherlands Trent Sainsbury was absent while Aziz Behich was an unused sub for PSV in a 3-1 win over AZ Alkmaar. Two starting players for the Socceroos, neither have been gaining sufficient playing time in the Netherlands ahead of the Asian Cup. Denis Genreau was absent from the squad while Dean Bouzanis was an unused sub as PEC Zwolle lost 2-0 to VVV-Venlo. Ajdin Hrustic played half an hour off the bench for FC Groningen in a 0-0 draw with Fortuna Sittard.
In the Dutch Youth Leagues Dylan Ryan was absent from Willem II U21 3-0 youth cup win over AFC Amsterdam. Seb Pasquali was absent from Jong Ajax's squad that defeated Sparta Rotterdam 2-0. Quivi Fowler was absent from Jong FC Dordrecht's squad that beat Jong Eidnhoven 3-2.
In Denmark Mustafa Amini played a full match as AGF defeated Hobro 1-0 and has improved his form heading into the Asian Cup.
In Belgium Danny Vukovic played a full game in goals for KRC Genk as they recorded a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Eupen away from home.
In Italy Gabriel Cleur was an unused substitute as Virtus Entella defeated Juventus U23 1-0. Nick Pennington was an unused sub for Olbia Calcio as they lost 1-0 at home to Piacenza. Reno Piscopo played a full match in AC Renate's 0-0 draw with FeralpiSalò.
In Portugal Tristan Hammond was absent from Sporting Lisbon U17's squad that defeated Belenenses 1-0. Dylan Collard started and played 55 minutes for Tondela U19 as they drew 1-1 with Sporting. Duantae Mariner came on in the 87th minute in Vizela U19's 2-0 win over Familicão. Vizela remain in first place in the Junior Division 2 in Portugal. Gavin De Niese played a full game in Gafahna's 2-0 loss to Amarante.
In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou played a full match as AEK Larnaca lost 1-0 at home to Nea Salamis. Bai Antoniou was an unused sub for Alki Oroklini as they defeated Doxa 2-1.
