UK 

In the English Premier League Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan's match against Chelsea was postponed but will face Leicester City away in midweek. Ryan was last in action in the Premier League in a 3-1 loss to Burnley. Aaron Mooy played a full match in Huddersfield Town's 2-0 loss to Newcastle United, with relegation now seemingly inevitable.

In the English Championship Mass Luongo played a full match although his QPR side went down 3-2 in the final minute to promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion. Later in the week Luongo also played 90 minutes as QPR lost 2-0 to Middlesborough. Jackson Irvine played an hour for Hull City who were thrashed 5-1 by Brentford. 

Bailey Wright played a full match for Bristol City as they lost 3-2 away to table toppers Norwich City. Mile Jedinak was an unused sub again for Aston Villa while Adam Federici was also unused for Stoke as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw. 

James Meredith was absent from Millwall's squad that defeated Derby County 1-0 away from home due to a calf injury. Callum Elder was absent from Ipswich Town's squad that drew 1-1 with Wigan Athletic. Ryan Williams played 32 minutes off the bench for Rotherham United as they drew 1-1 with Reading.

In League One action Kenny Dougall was an 84th minute substitute for Barnsley in their 0-0 draw with Burton Albion. Later in the week Dougall was a stoppage time substitute in another bore draw against Porstmouth. Brad Inman played 10 minutes off the bench for Rochdale in an epic 4-3 loss to AFC Wimbledon.Later in the week he played the second half of Rochdale's 5-1 loss to Plymouth Argyle. 

Cameron Burgess played a full match for Scunthorpe United in their 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers. Harry Souttar played a full match for Fleetwood Town as they defeated Burton Albion 1-0. 

In the English Youth Leagues Con Ouzinidis played 22 minutes off the bench for Everton U23 as they beat Blackburn U23 2-0.

Tyrese Francois played a full match for Fulham U23 in the Premier League Cup as they beat Reading U23 2-0. Cameron McGilp was absent from Birmingham City U23 as they defeated Colchester U23 2-1. Jacob Young played a full match for Sunderland U23 as they lost 3-1 to West Bromwich Albion for whom Jasko Keranovic was absent. 

Kai Caldebrank Park was an unused sub while Oscar Woods was absent for Burnley U18 as they defeated Leeds United U18 4-2. Riley Warland was absent from Fulham U18's side that defeated Norwich City 2-0. 

In the Scottish League Mark Milligan played a full match for Hibernian while Ryan McGowan and Jesse Curran completed 90 minutes for Dundee FC as Hibernian won 4-2. McGowan recently moved to Scotland from League One in England while Curran has courted the possibility of playing for Scotland instead of Australia despite hailing from Ryde in Sydney. 

Oliver Bozanic completed 22 minutes off the bench for Hearts as they drew 1-1 with St Mirren. Ben Garuccio was absent, the victim of an enormous squad numbering 33 players, while 21-year old goalkeeper Jordan Holmes was on the bench for St Mirren.

In the Scottish Championship Tom Beadling played a full match for Dunfermline Athletic as they defeated Ayr United 1-0. Jack Iredale played a full 90 for Greenock Morton as they lost 1-0 to promotion fighters Inverness CT. The barren run continues for Lyndon Dykes who has gone his eleventh game without a goal for Queen of the South as they lost 2-1 to Alloa Athletic.

EUROPE 

In the UEFA Europa League Danny Vukovic's KRC Genk were knocked out by Slavia Prague 4-1 on aggregate with the Aussie keeper suffering a sickening injury to the ribs almost an hour into play before being substituted. 

In Germany Mathew Leckie was still absent from action for Hertha Berlin as they were narrowly edged by Bayern Munich 1-0. Leckie was injured heading into the Asian Cup and head coach Pal Dardai is keeping the Socceroo in cotton wool to prevent further injury. 

In the second division Robbie Kruse was absent from Vfl Bochum's side that lost 3-1 to Holstein Kiel. 

In the German Youth Leagues George Timotheou played a full match for Schalke II as they drew 0-0 with FC Gievenbeck. Christian Theoharous was absent from Borussia Mönchengladbach II's squad after they won 2-0 over Wuppertaler. John Anton-Buceto played an hour for Kaan-Marienborn as they drew 1-1 with SV Straelen. Cameron Kemp was absent from Vfl Alfter's squad that shared their points Vfl Rheinbach in a 2-2 draw.

Jamie Percevski was an unused sub for Fortuna Dusseldorf U19 as they drew 0-0 with Borussia Dortmund U19. Kye Sztopka was absent from FC Hennef 05's squad as they lost 3-0 to Fortuna Dusseldorf U17 3-0. 

In the Netherlands Denis Genreau and Dean Bouzanis were both unused subs for PEC Zwolle as they lost 3-0 to De Grafschaap. Ajdin Hrustic was an unused sub for FC Groningen as they drew 0-0 with NAC Breda for whom Alex Gersbach played the first half. Both Aziz Behich and Trent Sainsbury were unused substitutes for PSV as they drew 1-1 with Feyenoord as their lead at the top of the Eredivisie table shortened to just two points. 

In the Dutch youth leagues Daniel Bouman was on the scoresheet for Jong Groningen as they thrashed Lisse 5-1. Dylan Ryan played a full game for Willem II U21 as they lost 3-1 at home to Feyenoord. Sebastian Pasquali was an unused sub as Jong Ajax beat Telstar 2-0. Thomas Prinsen was on the bench for Jong Almere in their match against Ijsselmeervogels. 

In Austria LASK's James Holland and Austria Wien's Jimmy Jeggo faced off in a battle of the Aussies. It was Holland's LASK who ran out 2-0 winners, maintaining their second place spot. 

In Denmark Socceroos starlet Awer Mabil played 85 minutes in FC Midtjylland's 2-1 win over Aalborg. Antonis Martis powered through 120 minutes for FC Midtjylland U19 as they defeated AS Roma U19 on penalties to advance in the play-offs of the UEFA Youth League.

Mustafa Amini played a full match for AGF Aarhus while Awer Mabil started and played 80 minutes for FC Midtjylland as Mabil's side ran out 2-1 winners. Brent McGrath was a second half substitute for Esbjerg in their 2-0 loss to Hobro.

Tomi Juric was yet again absent from FC Luzern's squad that drew 1-1 with FC Zurich. Juric hasn't played for FC Luzern in their last three matches and has been told to find a new club.

In Croatia Fran Karacic played a full match as skipper for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb as they drew 0-0 with Istra 1961. Steven Lustica played three minutes off the bench for Inter Zapresic as they defeated Slaven Belupo 1-0. Anthony Kalik played 68 minutes for Hajduk Split as they drew 0-0 with NK Gorica. 

In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou was absent from AEK Larnaca's squad that defeated Paralimni 3-0. 

In Italy Reno Piscopo played a full match for AC Renate as they lost 2-0 to Triestina. Nick Pennington was an unused sub for Olbia Calcio's squad as they fell late to a 1-0 loss away to Arezzo. Gabriel Cleur was also an unused sub for Virtus Entella in their 3-1 victory over Piacenza. 

ASIA 

In Hong Kong Travis Major completed 90 minutes for Sun Pegasus in their 3-0 loss to Kitchee FC for whom 36-year old Matt Smith was on the winning side. 

In India Erik Paartalu has been sidelined long term for Bengaluru FC who reversed a 3-2 loss to Delhi Dynamos earlier in the week with a 3-0 win over FC Goa.

Eli Babalj was absent from ATK's squad that lost 3-1 to Mumbai City. Chris Herd played 73 minutes for Chennaiyin in a 0-0 draw with Jamshedpur for whom Tim Cahill was absent.

In Kuwait Nicholas Olsen put the icing on the cake for Al Jahra scoring in his side's 3-1 win over Al-Shabab. 

In the Saudi Pro League Milos Degenek was a dividing figure for Al Hilal in their 2-0 derby win over Al Ittihad riling up the opposition fans in a classy win. Mat Jurman was absent from Al Ittihad's squad. 

Osama Malik was an unused sub for Al Batin in their 4-1 loss to Al Taawoun. Jack Duncan and Rhys Williams both completed 90 minutes for Al Qadisiyah as they list 1-0 to Al Shabab. Brad Jones is back in action for Al Nassr keeping a clean sheet against Al Feiha.
