Two Socceroos heavyweights went head to head in the English Premier League this week. Aaron Mooy's Huddersfield Town went down in a narrow 1-0 loss to Mat Ryan's Brighton with the goalkeeper playing a full match and earning a clean sheet. Mooy was named on the bench and was a 41st minute substitute.

In the English Championship Jackson Irvine played a full match for Hull City in their 2-1 win over Millwall who were missing James Meredith. Irvine played another 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Birmingham later in the week. Meredith was in action later in the week playing 75 minutes against Norwich City.
Massimo Luongo played a full 90 for QPR as they toppled Leeds 1-0 before unfortunately going down 3-0 to Brentford later in the week. Bailey Wright was an unused sub for Bristol City's 1-1 draw with Preston and 2-0 loss to Birmingham City.
Adam Federici was an unused sub for Stoke City in their 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. Ryan Williams was a second half substitute for Rotherham United and scored a crucial goal in their 3-2 win over Wigan Athletic. Former Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak was an unused substitute for Aston Villa in their 4-0 drubbing of Derby County.
In League One action Kenny Dougall started and played 76 minutes for Barnsley in their 3-0 win over Southend United. Brad Inman played a full match for Rochdale but was on the losing side going down 2-0 to Luton Town. Scunthorpe United's Cameron Burgess played a full match but went down 2-1 to Oxford United. Harry Souttar played a full game as Fleetwood Town drew 1-1 wth Gillingham.
In League Two Cameron McGilp was absent from Swindon Town's squad that defeated Colchester 3-0.
In the English Youth Leagues Tyrese Francois played a full match for Fulham U-23 as they lost 1-0 to Newcastle United U-23. Quivi Fowler was absent from Cardiff City U-23 squad that defeated QPR U-23 3-0. Tom Glover was an unused sub for Tottenham Hotspur U-23 as they drew 1-1 with Chelsea U-23. Ashley Maynard-Brewer was absent from Charlton Athletic's U-23 side that defeated Sheffield Wednesday U-23 4-1.
Riley Warland was absent from Fulham U-18's squad as they defeated Leicester City U-18 2-1. Kyle McGeachy was absent from West Ham United U-18 squad that lost 5-3 to Tottenham hotspur U-18's 5-3.
In the SPFL Mark Milligan played a full match as Hibernian snuck a 2-1 win over St Johnstone. Oliver Bozanic scored from the penalty spot for Hearts but it wasn't enough for his side to take any points from Celtic who won the match in the dying seconds. Ben Garuccio was absent from Hearts' squad.
Ryan McGowan played a full 90 minutes however his Dundee FC side lost 4-0 to Rangers. Jordan Holmes warmed the bench for St. Mirren as they defeated Livingston 1-0.

In the Scottish Championship Jack Iredale played a full match for Greenock Morton as did Lyndon Dykes for Queen of the South but it was Iredale's side that took the 1-0 win. Later in the week Iredale played another match drawing 1-1 with Falkirk while Dykes and Tom Beadling played full matches against each other with Beadling's Dunfermline winning 1-0. Earlier in the week Beadling played a full match for Dunfermline Athletic as his side beat Partick Thistle 3-0 while Scott McDonald started and played 66 minutes for Thistle.
Leo Mazis was an unused sub for Celtic Academy as Celtic defeated Kilmarnock 1-0.
EUROPE
In the Bundesliga Socceroos star Mathew Leckie made his long awaited return to action playing 13 minutes off the bench for Hertha Berlin in their 2-1 win over Mainz.
Robbie Kruse was absent from Vfl Bochum's squad that drew 2-2 with Dynamo Dresden.
In the German youth leagues Brandon Borello 80 minutes for Freiburg II in their 2-0 win over FK Pirmasens in his quest back from injury.
In the Netherlands Aziz Behich and Trent Sainsbury were both unused substitutes for PSV as they defeated Excelsior 2-0 away from home. Neither of the Socceroos players have played a minute of football since returning from the Asian Cup.
Alex Gersbach was absent from NAC Breda's squad as they went down 4-1 to Vitesse Arnhem. Ajdin Hrustic was an unused sub for FC Groningen as they finished on top in a thrilling 3-2 win over VVV-Venlo.
Sebastian Pasquali was unused for Jong Ajax as they drew 2-2 with Den Bosch. Dylan Ryan was absent from Willem II Tilburg's squad that defeated AZ Alkmaar 3-2 on penalties to progress in the TOTO KNVB Bekker.
In Belgium Danny Vukovic was back in between the sticks for KRC Genk in a 1-1 draw with Charleroi.

In Croatia Fran Karacic played a full match for NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in their 1-1 draw with Dinamo Zagreb. Steven Lustica was an unused substitute for Inter Zaresic while Anthony Kalik was absent from Hajduk Split's squad as Split won 3-1.
In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou played a full match in AEK Larnaca's 1-0 win over AEL.
In Denmark Mustafa Amini played a full game for AGF while Dylan McGowan was an unused substitute for Vendsyssel FF as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw. Andrew Nabbout returned from injury with Urawa Reds playing the second half in a 2-0 loss to Consadole Sapporo. Jason Geria started and played 79 minutes as JEF United Chiba lost 4-1 to Niigata.
In Korea Bernie Ibini-Isei was absent from match day one at his new club Jeonbuk Hyundai as they drew 1-1 with Daegu. Adam Taggart made his debut off the bench in the 45th minute and scored in the 63rd minute in Suwon Bluewings 2-1 loss to Ulsan Hyundai. Aleksander Jovanovic played a full game for Jeju United in a 1-1 draw with Incheon United. Nick Ansell was absent from Jeonnam Dragons 3-0 loss to Asan.
In Saudi Arabia Socceroos Milos Degenek played a full game in a 2-1 win over Al Faisaly. Osama Malik was an 87th minute substitute for Al Batin in their 1-1 draw with Al Wehda. A clean sheet was a welcome reward for a hard fought win for Brad Jones' Al Nassr who defeated Al Shabab.
