In the SPFL Oli Bozanic played 90 minutes and scored a midweek goal while Ben Garuccio was a 73rd minute substitute in Hearts 3-0 win over Dundee FC for whom Jesse Curran played a full 90 minutes.

It was a very different story overnight though when Bozanic gave away a soft penalty in Heart's Betfred Cup semi final against Celtic and gifted the Bhoys their opener in a 3-0 hammering which also saw Tom Rogic setting up the second during his full 90 minutes. Bozanic came off after 70 minutes and Garuccio remained on the bench.

Ryan Edwards was a 75th minute sub for St.Mirren as they lost 2-0 to St. Johnstone. Tom Rogic completed 90 minutes for Celtic in their 3-0 win over Hearts in the Scottish League Cup while Oli Bozanic completed 70 minutes and Ben Garuccio was an unused sub. 

In the Scottish Championship Tom Beadling played a full match as Dunfermline Athletic lost 2-0 to Dundee United. Jack Iredale played 18 minutes off the bench for Greenock Morton as they were slammed 5-0 by Ross County. Lyndon Dykes played a full match for Queen of the South who defeated Falkrik 2-0 at home. 

In the English Premier League Aaron Mooy played a full 90 minutes as Huddersfield Town lost 3-0 away to Watford. Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet for Brighton's third 1-0 win in a row, this time over Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

It was a busy week in the English Championship. Mile Jedinak was an unused sub as Aston Villa lost 2-1 to Norwich City and 1-0 loss to QPR. Adam Federici was an unused sub for Stoke City in their 1-1 draw with Sheffield United and 1-0 victory over Bristol City.

Ryan Williams started and played 62 minutes for Rotherham United in their 0-0 draw with Middlesborough and played 85 minutes providing an assist in Rotherham's 1-1 draw with Preston North End.

Mass Luongo played a full game in QPR's 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday and again in their 1-0 win over Aston Villa. James Meredith started and played 46 minutes as Millwall defeated Wigan 2-1 and was an unused sub as his side won 3-0 against Ipswich Town.

Jackson Irvine started and played 90 minutes as Hull city defeated Bristol City 1-0 and another 90 minutes in a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers. 

In the English League One Ryan McGowan played a full 90 minutes as Bradford City lost 4-2 to Coventry City but was absent as his side were defeated 4-0 by Gillingham. Brad Inman was an unused sub for Rochdale as they lost 3-0 to Wycombe Wanderers and came off in the 90th minute as Rochdale beat Charlton 1-0.

Kenny Dougall was substituted off after an injury in the 21st minute as Barnsley lost 3-1 to Shrewsbury, he was therefore absent for their 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers. Cameron Burgess played until the 77th minute for Scunthorpe United in their 1-0 loss to Blackpool and was an unused sub in a 4-1 loss to Plymouth Argyle. 

In League Two Harry Kewell suffered back-to-back defeats as Notts County lost 2-1 to MK Dons before another 2-1 loss to Swindon Town. Jimmy Oates was an unused substitute for Exeter City as they lost 2-1 to Forest Green. 

In the English Youth Leagues Tom Glover was an unused sub for Tottenham Hotspur U23 as they went down 1-0 to Derby County U23. Kai Caldebrank-Park played a full match for Burnley U18 as they lost 3-2 to Bolton Wanderers U18.

Jacob Young was an unused sub for Sunderland U23 as they defeated Southampton U23 2-0. Liam Driscoll played a full match while Joel Rollinson was absent from Reading U23's squad that beat Stoke City U23 2-1.

Ashley Maynard-Brewer played a full game while Ryan Blumberg was on the bench as Charlton U23 defeated Coventry 2-1. Cameron McGilp played another 90 minutes for Birmingham City U23 in a 2-1 win over Barnsley U23s. 

EUROPE

In the UEFA Champions League Milos Degenek played a full match as his Red Star Belgrade were soundly beaten 4-0 by Liverpool FC. Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were unused subs as PSV drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur. 

In the UEFA Europa League Danny Vukovic played a full match as KRC Genk pulled off a great victory, 4-2 away to Besiktas. Apostolos Giannou started and played 68 minutes for AEK Larnaca as they drew 1-1 with FC Ludogrets. Tom Rogic was absent for Celtic as they lost 2-0 away to RB Leipzig. Alex Gersbach played a full game for Rosenborg as they lost 3-0 to Red Bull Salzburg. 

In Italy Lucas Alcorace was absent from Anzio's squad that lost 1-0 to Monterosi FC. Giancarlo Galifuoco played a full match for Rieti FC in their 2-1 loss to Siracusa. Daniel Alessi played a full game in Sasso Marconi's 2-0 victory against Classe. Reno Piscopo was an unused sub for Renate in their 3-1 loss to Triestina. Nick Pennington played a full game for Olbia Calcio in their 0-0 draw with Arezzo. 

In Malta Harry Ascroft was absent from Balzan FC's squads that defeated Florijana 2-0 and lost 3-0 to Gzira United. Paris Duffield was absent from Hamrun Spartans team that beat Birkirkara 2-1. 

In Serbia Milos Degenek played a full game as Red Star Belgrade defeated Macva Sabac 2-0 who kept Andrew Marveggio as an unused sub. 

In Norway Alex Gersbach was absent from Rosenborg's squad that defeated Brann 2-1. Luc Jeggo played a full match for Floro SK as they list 2-1 to Asane. 

In Germany Mat Leckie was absent from Hertha Berlin's squad that drew 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund. Kwame Yeboah played 15 minutes off the bench for Fortuna Koln in their 3-1 loss to Hansa Rostock. George Timotheou started and played a full game as Schalke U23 defeated Sportfruende Victories 1-0 away from home. Julian Schwarzer was absent from Pipinsried's squad that smashes Schweinfurt 5-0.

In Holland Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were unused subs as PSV defeated FC Gronigen 2-1 for which Ajdin Hrustic was an unused sub also. Denis Genreau was a 60th minute sub while Dean Bouzanis was an unused sub as PEC Zwolle drew 1-1 with Heracles Almelo. FC Gronigen U21 defeated Heemskerk U21 5-2 as Daniel Bouman added another goal to his tally for the season. 

In Switzerland Tomi Juric started and played 78 minutes for FC Luzern as they defeated Xamax 2-1 away from home. 

In Belgium Danny Vukovic completed 90 minutes for KRC Genk as they drew 1-1 with Standard Liege. 

In Austria Caleb Mikulic was absent from Austria Wien Young Violets side that lost 6-3 Blau Weiss Linz. Jimmy Jeggo played a full 90 minutes for Austria Wien in their 0-0 draw with Wacker. James Holland played a full match for LASK Linz as they recorded a 3-3 draw against heavy hitters Red Bull Salzburg. 

In Denmark Mustafa Amini played 85 minutes for AGF in their 4-2 loss to FC Copenhagen. Brent McGrath was a 75th minute substitute in their 2-0 victory over Radners. 

In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya started and played 46 minutes for Maccabi Haifa in a 2-0 loss to Maccabi Netanya. 

In Croatia Fran Karacic played a full game for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb as they defeated NK Rudes 4-0 for whom Anthony Kalik started and played 78 minutes. Steve Lustica was absent from Inter Zapresic's 3-1 loss to NK Gorica. 

In Finland Dylan Murnane played a full game for IFK Mariehamn as they lost 2-1 to KuPS. Jacob Esposito was absent from PS Kemi's squad that beat FC Lahti 2-1. 

In Czech Republic Golgol Mebrahtu played a full game for Sparta Praha as they lost 1-0 to Zlin. Mebrahtu also came off the bench in the 68th minute against his former club Mlada Boleslav as Sparta defeated them 4-1. 

In Cyprus Bai Antoniou was an unused sub for Alki Oroklini who lost 4-2 to APOEL Nicosia. Apo Giannou 

In Slovakia Aleksander Susnjar played a full match for MSK Zilina who knocked out Tatran presov 2-1 in the Slovak Cup. Susnjar then played 90 minutes in the league in a 2-0 win over Nitra. 

In Slovenia Deni Juric played four minutes off the bench for NK Triglav as they lost 2-1 to Ceje. 

ASIA 

In Japan Ange Postecoglou's Yokohama F Marinos were defeated in the J-League Cup Final 1-0 to Shanon Bellmare. Mitch Langerak played a full match as Nagoya Grampus lost 2-1 to Consadole Sapporo.

Jason Geria started and played 85 minutes as JEF United Chiba lost 2-0 to F.C Gifu. Pierce Waring played until the 63rd minute for Cerezo Osaka U23 in their 0-0 draw with Azul Claro Numazu. Andrew Nabbout played 9 minutes off the bench in Urawa Red Diamonds 2-0 win over Sagan Tosu in the Emperor's Cup. 

In Korea Aleksander Jovanovic played a full game for Jeju United who defeated Pohang Steelers 2-1 for whom Connor Chapman also played 90 minutes. James Donachie was absent from Jeonnam Dragons 1-0 loss to Sangju.

Kwabena Appiah was an unused sub for Incheon United as they lost 1-0 to Daegu. Dylan Mcgowan played a full game for Gangwon United as they drew 1-1 to FC Seoul. 

In Saudi Arabia Jack Duncan and Rhys Williams both played 90 minutes for Al-Qadisiyah as they lost 2-1 to Al-Shabab. Brad Jones played a full match in goal as Al-Nassr played out a 1-1 draw against Al Feiha. Mat Jurman started and played 84 minutes for Al-Ittihad who lost 3-1 to Al-Hilal. 

In the UAE Bernie Ibini was an unused sub for Emirates Club as they lost 2-0 to Al Dhafra. 

In India Tim Cahill came off the bench with 20 minutes remaining as Jamshedpur FC drew 1-1 to North East United. Erik Paartalu played 78 minutes for Bengaluru FC as they comfortably beat Pune City 3-0 away from home.
