UK 

In the English Premier League Aaron Mooy and Mat Ryan played 90 minutes to earn an important point against tough opposition. 

Brighton drew 1-1 away to sixth placed Sheffield United, remaining four points from the relegation zone. 

In Scotland Hibernian's Martin Boyle played a full game as he shared the points with Lyndon Dyke's Livingston, who also played 90 minutes. 

Tom Rogic started his first match in a long time for Celtic playing 74 minutes in a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.

In the English Championship Callum Elder was subbed off in the 96th minute while Jackson Irvine played a full game as Hull City's winless run stretched to eight games, losing 2-1 to Preston North End. 

Sheffield Wednesday's unsteady form continued with Massimo Luongo out injured. His side drew 3-3 with Birmingham City. 

Kenny Dougall was an unused sub as Barnsley got three important points at home to Middlesborough in a 1-0 win. 

In League One Ryan Edwards scored for Burton Albion as they recorded a 3-2 away win to lowly Southend United, who fielded Mark Milligan for the full match. 

Harry Souttar played 90 minutes and got another clean sheet for Fleetwood Town as they beat Portsmouth 1-0 at home. Ryan Williams was a 56th minute sub for the visitors. 

In League Two Gethin Jones played a full game while Jack Iredale was an unused sub as Carlisle United drew 2-2 with Morecambe. 

Jordan Lyden was a 64th minute substitute for Swindon Town as they beat Grimsby Town 3-1. 

In English youth, Zak Gilsenan scored in the English FA Youth Cup as Blackburn U18 beat Preston U18 4-2. 

Peter Gwargis scored for Brighon U23 as they smashed Bognor Regis Town FC. Alex Robertson played 68 minutes for Manchester City U18 as they beat Liverpool U18 4-2. 

EUROPE 

In the UEFA Europa League James Holland was the only Aussie to get minutes as LASK drew 1-1 with AZ Alkmaar. Aziz Behich and Tom Rogic were absent for their respective sides. 

In Germany Mat Leckie was missing for Hertha Berlin's enormous 5-0 home loss to FC Koln, with  Leckie telling media he is ready to find a move away from Berlin. 

Brandon Borrello was unused again for SC Freiburg as they lost 2-0 at home to Fortuna Dusseldorf.

In Denmark Awer Mabil played 90 minutes for FC Midtjylland as they beat Hobro 2-0 away from home. 

In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya is in the form of his life, scoring again in Maccabi Haifa's 2-1 win over Ashdod. Trent Sainsbury played 90 minutes alongside Rukavytsya who went six goals clear at the top of the scoring charts with 17 goals in 24 matches. 

In Austria Jimmy Jeggo was an unused sub for Austria Wien, drawing 2-2 with Red Bull Salzburg while James Holland was rested for LASK's 4-1 win over Polten. 

In Croatia Anthony Kalik didn't have the return he was hoping for after moving from Hajduk Split to HNK Gorica. He played the second half for his new club but were thrashed 6-0 by Split. 

There was better luck elsewhere for Fran Karacic who scored for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb in a 2-0 win over Varazdin. 

In the Netherlands Ajdin Hrustic was absent due to injury for FC Groningen as they went down 1-0 win at home to VVV-Venlo while Daniel Bouman was still an unused sub for SC Cambuur. 

In Portugal Ryan Teague played 64 minutes in Famalicao U23's 1-0 win over Leixoes SC.

ASIA 

In the Asian Champions League Brad Jones played a full game as Al Nassr got their first win in the group stage beating Al Ain 2-1 away from home. Ange Postecoglou's Yokohama F Marinos smashed Sydney FC 4-0 at home. 

In the J-League Peter Cklamovski's Shimisu S-Pulse led 1-0 but were beaten 3-1 at home to FC Tokyo. Postecoglou didn't have much luck kicking off his title defence either, losing 2-1 at home to Gamba Osaka. 

Mitchell Langerak played 90 minutes as Nagoya earned a point with a 1-1 draw against Vegalta and Thomas Deng will have to wait for his Urawa Red Diamonds debut who was absent in their 3-2 win over Shonan Bellmare.

In Qatar Shane Lowry scored for Al Ahli in a 1-1 draw with Al Gharafa while Isaias Sanchez played in Al Wakrah's 1-0 loss to Al Duhail. 

In Saudi Arabia Craig Goodwin played 90 minutes for Al Wehda, losing 2-0, while Brad Jones was invovled in another 2-0 win over Al Hazm.

In India Erik Paartalu was a 68th minute sub for Bengaluru while David Williams played 90 minutes for ATK as both sides played out a 2-2 draw.
