Young Aussie midfielder Jordan Lyden's stunning halfway line goal on the weekend caught everyone off guard, including his club boss.
Lyden side-footed a loose ball home from the halfway line after a poor goalkeeping clearance in Oldham's 3-1 win over Cambridge United in League Two on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Australia youth international, who is on loan from Aston Villa until January, caught boss Frankie Bunn by surprise.
“I didn't know it was going in until I saw Ishmael (Miller) put his hands up," Bunn said.
“It was great awareness from Jordan and great pressure from Ishmael and Sam (Surridge), we've picked up the loose ball with Jordan doing the rest."
Lyden revealed earlier this month he is hopeful of a new deal with Villa after years ruined by injury.
The Perth-born talent debuted for Villa in the Premier League in the 2015-16 season but his progress has waned in recent times.
