HOW good is this? No 32 year wait between World Cup drinks this time.
For the first time in our history Australia is heading off to compete in successive World Cups after a solid first-time qualification path through Asia. It's going to be a long time before any football fan in Australia takes World Cup qualification for granted and just as we did in Germany 2006, we will savour every moment of every game on the world stage and who knows, maybe just maybe we can shock a few people along the way again.
We make no apologies whatsoever for enjoying the highlights from that golden game in Kaiserslautern when the Socceroos scored their first goals and their first win in a World Cup finals tournament with that famous, stunning late comeback against Japan.
And while we're here we might as well enjoy Harry Kewell's equaliser against Croatia to send Australia into the knockout stages for the first time in their history.
