FORGET the pros, your very own side could be crowned Team of the Year as part of the recently launched Australian Football Awards.
It doesn't matter about age or the level your team plays at, providing your club is registered with the FFA you are in with a chance to win at the Australian Football Awards Gala Dinner on 11 June in Sydney.
The winning team will be invited to attend the Gala Dinner, which will also include the Qantas Socceroos, as guests of FFA.
"Voting for Team of the Year is now open and we want to hear from you," said FFA CEO Ben Buckley.
"If you think your team has what it takes, we are encouraging the 970,000 Australians who play football to nominate their team, or another team they think is deserving of the honour," said Buckley.
"Even if you don't play football you may be one of the 120,000 'mums and dads' who volunteer in some capacity to work in football clubs and may know a great team to nominate."
Teams can nominate here. Nominations close on 15 May.
