Cisak had played every game this season before being dropped by new Orient boss Danny Webb for the weekend’s 2-1 loss to Carlisle United in League Two.

The former Australia youth international missed out again overnight in the 1-0 defeat to Morecambe.

It had been reported O’s president Francesco Becchetti had in January transfer listed the 27-year-old, who was part of a Socceroos squad in World Cup qualifying in August 2015, among a number of senior players following a poor run of results.

Cisak’s form, along with Orient’s, has wavered this season, prompting relegation fears with the club currently 23rd.

Webb spoke with former Leicester keeper Cisak prior to his demotion on the weekend and explained the decision to reporters following the overnight loss.

“I just felt initially... just give Alex a bit of a break,” Webb said.

“Not once has he missed a game or thrown in a mood or pulled a sickie or missed a day’s training.

“I think initially you go just have a few weeks out of it completely just to chill out a little bit.

“Alex has been in that team and made some good saves this season.”

The Poland-born Hobart-raised goalkeeper also took to Twitter on Sunday to reiterate his support for the club.

Cisak wrote: “I have not asked to leave the club and remain fully committed to helping the team in any way I possibly can.”
