REAL Zaragoza defender Roberto Ayala opened the doors to return to Argentina national squad.
After Albiceleste boss Diego Maradona revealed he would welcome him back into the fold, the 35-year-old refused to talk about a comeback.
However, the former Ferro, River Plate, Valencia and AC Milan man has revealed he is willing to consider a return.
"To be honest, it fills me with pride that he thinks about me. What can I say, I am very happy," Ayala told Ole.
"But we did not have any contact. I have to sit to talk with Diego, but I cannot say more than this," he said.
Ayala, who won 115 international caps, retired from the national team in July 2007, after the Albicelestes lost the Copa America final to Brazil in Venezuela.
"The decision I made then was an important one, it was not a little thing. I have to analyse it as it includes several issues and talk about that calm. We will see," he said.
