The 26-year-old forward joined Newcastle on a free transfer in June and has bagged 15 goals in 19 Premier League appearances this season.

With rumours of a release clause of approximately 10 million pounds circling, talk of Ba's future has been constant ever since the January transfer window opened.

French giants PSG have been the latest club linked with the Senegalese striker – who is on African Nations Cup duty until mid-February – and Ba said a switch to the Ligue 1 side was possible, although probably not this season.

"Join PSG? Yes, why not? It's possible," Ba said. "I've always supported PSG. It's a club that's enticing. But it will be difficult to do that in January.

"I'm in Newcastle, fans like me, and then the transfer market will be closed when I go back (from the Africa Cup of Nations), so I'm not focused on it.

"My first goal is the Africa Cup of Nations then I want to continue playing good for Newcastle."

Tottenham are another club interested in securing Ba's services, with Spurs manager Harry Redknapp publicly expressing his interest in signing the striker.
