FORMER Stuttgart boss Markus Babbel claims he has been approached by Hertha Berlin and is considering an offer to become their new coach.
Babbel has been out of work since being dismissed by Stuttgart in December, and was recently linked with the job of assistant coach at Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
However, he appears keen to take on a head coach role and an offer from Berlin, even though they have just been relegated to the second division, seems to have captured his interest.
"Hertha have a good reputation and are a club with a tradition," he told the Tagesspiegel newspaper.
"The decisive thing is what kind of perspectives there are.
"All I can say is that I did have a chat with them a few days ago and they asked me if I would be willing to consider working there. I said that I would."
