GARETH Bale's proposed switch to Real Madrid appeared to move a step closer after the club shop website displayed his shirt as available to purchase.
'Bale 11' appeared as an option on the Real Madrid website on Thursday evening, suggesting a deal for the Wales international is imminent.
Tottenham have continually rejected speculation that Bale will leave White Hart Lane despite intense speculation linking him with a move to the Liga side.
Madrid's pursuit of Bale began at the start of the close-season with a €100million rumoured to have been made.
The Premier League side's stance appeared to have changed on Thursday as chairman Daniel Levy was reported to have met with Madrid officials to broker the deal.
Bale has admitted previously to have held a long-term ambition to move to the Spanish capital, which now appears a step closer.
He is yet to feature for Spurs in competitive action so far this season, due to slight gluteal and foot injuries, but scored on his only appearance of pre-season against Swindon Town.
Real hired Carlo Ancelotti to replace Jose Mourinho ahead of the new season, also signing Isco, Diego Illarramendi, Dani Carvajal and Casemiro for a reported combined €64m.
