GERMANY midfielder Michael Ballack should recover from the ankle injury he sustained in the FA Cup final in time for the World Cup according to Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking to reporters after the game Ancelotti confirmed midfielder Ballack should be fit to play in the World Cup for Germany after limping off with an ankle injury following a lunge by Boateng which earned the Portsmouth man a yellow card during the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Ballack hit the deck in agony after the Pompey player's lunge and limped off the pitch to receive treatment.
He was replaced just before half-time but was able to join in the celebrations at the full-time whistle.
The experienced international will have a scan to assess the damage and admitted he was concerned.
