Kosta Barbarouses got on the scoresheet for the first time for Sydney FC, but his newborn daughter is an even bigger reason the Kiwi is beaming after Sydney's 4-1 win over Newcastle.
Barbarouses rued a number of missed chances in last week's Sydney Derby, and VAR calls against Adelaide United in round one.
He set the record straight playing in his 100th A-League win and struck Sydney's fourth in a dominant victory for the Sky Blues.
But a VIP was in the crowd watching him, the newest member of the Barbarouses family, his six week old daughter Lola.
"My baby girl was there tonight in her first game watching Dad," said Barbarouses. "It was great to get the monkey off my back but also great to get the win as well."
Barbarouses spoke of how his daughter had changed him off the field.
"It's made me take a bit of pressure off myself," Barbarouses said after the match.
"I've got to take care of somebody else now. I look forward to getting home and seeing her.
"It's definitely made me more compassionate, knowing that you have to look after someone is a good feeling."
