Barcelona have confirmed they will appeal against the one-match ban handed to Ronaldinho following his dismissal in last weekend's 1-0 win over Getafe.
The Brazilian playmaker was sent-off for kicking out at opponent David Belenguer following a foul by the Getafe defender.
Ronaldinho had been handed a one-match suspension by the Spanish Football Federation's Disciplinary Committee which would rule him out of the derby with Espanyol on June 9, but Barca are hoping to get that overturned.
Barca, who have two league games remaining, are level with leaders Real Madrid on 72 points at the top of Spain'sPrimera Liga table, but are in second spot due to their inferior head-to-head record against Fabio Capello's men this season.
